Just Peachy Margarita
I swore when I started food and drink blogging there would be ZERO back story. Just the recipe and a funny joke. But let’s be honest I had to tell you about our amazing experience at Rendleman Orchards. Michelle Sirles let us play in her beautiful kitchen to create a drink for all of her customers and my loyal followers. You all know I like to keep things simple and delicious. Peaches in Southern Illinois will be in season starting late June and it will be the perfect opportunity to make allllll things peaches.
Ingredients:
Fresh peaches (soft) 6-8 peaches to serve 4 people
One lime (used to run around the rim of glass)
Silver Tequila
Cane sugar
Crush Iced
Let’s Make a Fancy DRINK!
Chop up peaches WITH the skin left on. The riper the peach the easier they are to cut up.
Slice your limes in the easiest way possible to run around the rim of your glass.
Take your fancy limes and run around the rim of your glass then dip into the cane sugar you have placed on a flat plate.
Add crushed ice to blender
Add 1-1.5 shots of tequila for each person drinking. For this recipe I did 5 shots of tequila and about 6 peaches.
Combine tequila, crushed ice and chopped up peaches all into the blender.
BLEND!
Poor into glasses with sugar rims
ENJOY!
TIPS
TIP #1: Leave the skin on the peaches—it makes for a sweeter drink.
TIP #2: Use a large blender
TIP #3: Get more peaches than you think you will need.
