ORC WEEK 2

WELCOME TO WEEK two of the one room challenge with Caffeine Until Cocktails! This is my first ever ORC. I am a mommy blogger typically but recently purchased a home in July and I am slowly creating a space I am proud of. My dining room has been sitting as a storage space while I waited to get started on it. What better push to finish this space than the ORC?

I am a newbie to the ORC and wanted to give it my all. In an attempt to budget/create the space I want I have been collecting pieces and have older pieces I am redoing to create the look I want. I am going to be bringing in the help of my friend from the Martin Nest to help with the board and batten.

My table and chairs have been moved from my other house. The table was a custom build by my grandfather who has passed away. I love using pieces that have sentimental value.

I plan to use Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace but in a Sherwin Williams Paint. I will be updating the curtain rod, curtains and doing a large gallery wall. With all of these updates it will create the most perfect space to be proud of.

Within this ORC I am going to be refinishing two chairs I found on facebook marketplace that cost me $30 each when in reality something similar would cost me upwards of $300-400 each.

This room is a beautiful blank canvas to create the luxurious dining room I have dreamt of. I am excited to show you all the progress over the next 8 weeks and create the perfect space just in time for Thanksgiving.

WEEK TWO UPDATE:

Not much is happening over in my dining room this week. I had surgery last week which is perfect timing to start the ORC. The buffet for my dining room is complete and I am waiting to pick it up. Not much is happening this week other than gathering everything I need to refinish the two chairs I have. The board and batten will be happening just not sure when yet.
