Cleaner Beauty
So I have shared my why and if you missed that blog post you can find at the link here. This post tells you why I have went on this cleaner journey. But this post is going to give you an inside look at what exactly I am doing with my cleaner beauty products from Beautycounter. When I initially made the switch. I started with face wash and basic makeup.
I initially started with the “flawless in five”. This set comes with six products that you should technically be able to use in about 5 minutes. This was something I needed with a new baby. I need products that were easy to use and quick. When you initially sign up for Beautycounter and want to use the flawless in five you will get options based on each product you choose.
Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation or Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer
Color Define Brow Pencil or Brilliant Brow Gel
Satin Powder Blush (pick your own shade)
Lip Gloss (pick your color)
The other product I initially purchased was a new face wash. I was switching from the dermalogica cleansing wash and wanted something similar. It was suggested that I use the Countercontrol Clear Pore Cleanser. I was able to switch and make the transition without issues. I am always concerned with trying new products that I will have some issues. It was nice to use these products and feel confident in my skin and not have issues with using new products. When I ordered these items I also signed up for the rewards program and I was gifted a full size bottle of the overnight resurfacing peel. I only use this product about 2-3 times per week BUT let me tell you this stuff is a miracle something.
Something that I have learned on this journey to taking better care of myself and my skin is that I have to get adequate sleep, plenty of hydration from water and cut the crap from what I am eating as well. I had a follower tell me that clearly I had good skin to start so these products just help. That stuck with me and changed me because she obviously does not realize the things I am doing behind the scenes to better myself. The other piece of advice I was given was if you are going to start a beauty routine you HAVE to start with sunscreen.
