Dear Mom
Dear Mom,
If I didn’t say it enough, Thank You!
Thank you for being an amazing model of what a strong working mom is. Thank you for your passion and drive to provide for our family. I will never forget all that you have sacrificed and all that you continue to do to fight for our family.
Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for pushing me to be the very best version of myself. Thank you for always telling me I can do more and be more. Thank you for always cheering me on whether it be finishing graduate school with a newborn or fitting back into a high school prom dress this week. You have never given up on me even when I did.
Thank you for loving my son. Thank you for reminding me daily that I am a good mom. I need that reminder constantly. You are the best mom. If I am half the mom you are I have done something right.
Thank you for being a single mom and always striving for the best. Thank you for your unwavering love. Thank you for never acting like things were hard.I had no idea your struggle until I took on the struggle of motherhood. You just did. You never blinked. You made it look easy. You never gave up on yourself and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you for the very first lavender Ralph Lauren button down. Thank you for pushing Tony and I to be our very best. Thank you for Bob. Thank you for always calling me on my bullshit and telling me to calm down when I am definitely not calm. Thank you for all the trips and experiences you provide to us.
Thank you for supporting us physically, mentally, financially and all the other in between. Thank you for it all. I will never be able to thank you enough for literally EVERYTHING you do for me and my family. But what I have realized since I became a mom is that I would go to the end of the earth for Elliott and that would still not be enough. And maybe now I realize why you do everything you do. Because your love for us is so much. It is pretty wild how you can love a tiny human with your whole body and soul and it pains you to think about how much you love them. But like you said you bore us from your body and we are a part of you. Thank you!
Happy Mother’s Day Momma TK! We love you and will never be able to thank you enough.
<3 always,
Jessica
