When I sat down to work with the Havisham House, I was slightly terrified, a 32 year old divorced single mom promoting a wedding venue……that is not normal! But then I thought a little bit more about it! Let’s work past the trauma of being divorced and realize I have done a lot of healing. I have worked through that my first marriage may have not worked out but we did not fail. We co-parent really well and we have an amazing beautiful 3 year old son. Ok we got past all of that background noise! I have planned a wedding, I have seen countless friends get married and it just so happens I have a lot of friends in the wedding industry! I am the PERFECT person to promote a wedding venue! I can’t thank Savanna Kathleen Photography enough for capturing the most amazing bridal images EVER! She is quickly booking up for 2022 and even booking into 2023.
So here it goes! THE HAVISHAM HOUSE—located in Alto Pass, IL near wineries, restaurants and the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest. The house has two full bedrooms with the front living room having the ability to turn into a bedroom as well with a pull out couch. The bathroom is what dreams are made of and there is a full kitchen to support brunch and mimosas for the day of wedding party. The best part about this venue is you are located to so many amazing things. The shawnee wine trail provides an array of places for your guests to visit.
Along with the house there is a GORGEOUS pavilion that holds 200 people comfortably and if you utilize the back patio it seats 225 during the warmer months. There are several dates available for 2022 and 2023 is still wide open.
The actual house itself is gorgeous for baby showers and bridal showers! A weekend girls trip! BOOK THE HOUSE! The most exciting thing coming to the Havisham House family is that the bourbon bar is officially open with lodging available!
They also offer Tue/Wed weddings (includes wedding pavilion & lodging in both homes for 24 hours) for $2,500.

The “porch” area offers the most beautiful natural light and the perfect hair for hair and makeup! Olivia Porter and her team from The Avenue are simply the best! They come with everything and do the best work!
Another amazing part of this house is all of the amazing wood that is been restored to its original condition. It sets the most perfect setting for the day and makes for amazing photos!
The floral bouquet was provided by Deliciously Ordinary (who is simply the best)! This was the most gorgeous bridal bouquet EVER!
