Historic Bell Hill: A Top Destination Wedding Location
Historic Bell Hill is beautiful mansion located in Cobden, IL . The venue is about 10 minutes south of Carbondale, IL where Southern Illinois University is located! I wanted to ensure the vendors we collaborated with were THE preferred vendors of Southern Illinois! I wanted to make sure we worked with a team that valued community over competition and could get behind women supporting women! Bed & Breakfast in Southern Illinois
The most amazing part about Bell Hill is that it is not only a wedding venue but you can rent the house for private use for an overnight stay, girls night or even a family reunion! If booking for your wedding day you get one night included in the price of your booking! But you can always add an extra night or two even! The house itself is built in the early 1900s and has so much character we wanted to plan this shoot around the history and elegance of the home. Most people think barn oh let’s do boho/country chic—well that is not what we thought. We thought let’s do black tie and make this place look so elegant!

What to wear: Wedding Edition
When it came to the dress we kind of panicked a LOT! But then I reached out to Clarice’s Bridal in St. Louis area and they were like YES NO BIG DEAL! and When I say they went above and beyond our expectations they truly did just that! We were blown away by their professionalism and eye for creativity. I sent over our “concept” and they pulled the exact dress I wanted and we never looked back! The veil, sleeves and gown were all graciously borrowed from Clarice’s.
Next up was outfitting our groom! While looking for tuxedo rental in Southern Illinois can be difficult but Melise’s Formal Wear made it so easy for us! If you are in need of a prom, homecoming or wedding rental they are your one stop shop!
During the planning process I knew that I wanted to have some bling for the photos. I knew exactly who I wanted to be included in the shoot but calling up someone and being like hey can i borrow some diamonds is slightly terrifying. Working with Your Jeweler was a dream and made everything so seamless. Actually, my wedding band and engagement ring came from Your Jeweler. So if you are local or maybe you aren’t but want to shop small look no further than Your Jeweler in Carterville!.

ALRIGHT—time to chat hair and makeup!!!! I can not say this enough—if you have a special occasion of any kind coming up you must BOOK The Avenue (Olivia Porter) EARLY! They fill their wedding, promo and homecoming dates fast! They have a bridal team that books a year in advance and lovesto book large bridal parties (that is their expertise). Olivia is full of energy and professionalism and another added bonus she has worked as a bridal specialist for 10+ years. She has a history of participating in pageants and now is judging pageants. She has an eye for all things glam! You will not be disappointed!

We are insanely blessed to have some of the most unbelieveable floral vendors right here in Southern Illinois! Their talent is unmatched and they give their all to the entire creative process.
The floral mantle piece was created and designed by Deliciously Ordinary. Located in Carterville, IL! Lindsay and her husband Tim put their entire heart and soul into the creative process and always blow me and their customers away with what they come up with. Lindsay’s creative abilities are unmatched and her work always is the talk of the event!
Wild Bloom Event Co. specializes in locally grown, fresh and sustainable wedding flraol designs. They are local to Southern Illinois and the owner Katie is top notch. Her install along the staircase was literally what dreams are made of and I hope more brides do installs like this one!
Blomst by Steinhouse Farms is a local florist and they grow all their own florals. The owner Candace was joy to work with and incorporated hostas, WHICH I LOVE, into her tablescape and arrangments for the Proper Pour Mobile Bar. Another amazing business right here in Southern Illinois is Poppy & Vine. They bring a whole new name to event anything! They providing planning, day of coordination, charcuterie for small and large scale events, rentals of allllll sorts including this champagne wall. They also offer florals too! They can create a balloon garland as seen on the bounce house from Party Hopper. They also have a store front in downtown Carterville, IL. If you dream it they will likely make it happen but don’t tell them I said that.

We were so insanely lucky to have the FIRST mobile bar, The Proper Pour Company, in Southern Illinois join us for this amazing styled shoot! The best part about this mobile bar is that her name is “Trailer Swift”. Now isn’t that some karma! They have several packages and work off of a BYOB mentality. They curate the menu to your wants and desires. Whether you are getting married or looking to add something fun to a corporate event look no further than The Proper Pour Company. The grazing table was curated by 17th Street BBQ and Faye. With a mix of cured meats, smoked meats from 17th street and homemade mini biscuits from Faye you will not be disappointed. Amy carefully selects each item used and ensure the products are of the highest quality!
The amazing caterer was The Kitchen on Lafeyette which is located for dine in or take out n Anna, IL. The owner Jamie is simply the best cook! I was blown away by how professional and quick they were with set up and take down! She served us roast beef that was served on a carving board and displayed perfectly. We also dined on homemade rolls, salad with THE BEST DRESSING EVER, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy!

Bounce House Rental in Southern Illinois
One of my all time favorite things is to have a fun aspect to any event! The white bounce house from Party Hopper LLC is THE BEST addition to any special occassion. What screams let’s have fun quite like a bounce house!?! The addition of the balloon garland from Poppy & Vine really makes this thing POP!

The Details
We were so blessed to be gifted a wedding suite by Mikki Krause. You can find her on instagram here. It was so magical to see how each photographer used different elements from the day for these type of photos! The perfume is Jo Malone and i think it photographs so beautifully. We added in the ring from Your Jeweler and the colors pulled together perfectly.
